Senior Cillian Michon joined The Wingspan to help get the newspaper started up again. As a self-proclaimed empath, he felt like he could be of use. His preferred type of piece to write is a feature, closely followed by a hard news piece.
“I love the freedom that features give me because I can give more attitude, and I enjoy the simpleness of hard news. It’s just the placement of fact after fact,” said Michon
When he’s not writing about sports or news, he’s watching his favorite hockey team, the San Jose Sharks, or playing video games at home. Cillian enjoys the bond that has grown between the whole Wingspan staff, and enjoys participating in Journalism class just as much as writing and revising articles.
